Description
The Phoneplus PL51 telephone amplifier is a discreet,
stylish, battery-operated device that connects between the base
unit and handset of most corded handset telephones. It can be left
connected when no volume or tone boosting is needed without
affecting the performance of your telephone. The phoneplus
automatically switches “on” when the handset is lifted and switches
“off” when the handset is replaced.
If telephone callers’ voices seem very quiet or muffled you
will benefit from using our Phoneplus. The Phoneplus has both
volume and tone controls and is used to increase the volume of the
caller’s voice through your handset with the addition of boosting
high or low tones if required. Callers voices can be amplified by
up to 40 dB (100 times) with additional tone control of +/- 6 dB
helping to improve clarity.
Please note: if you try to use the PhonePlus PL51 to
amplify an already amplified telephone you will probably get
problems with feedback from the handset.

This device is pretty powerful. I cannot normally hear the telephone at all without using the 'T' position and even with the 'T' position it is still very difficult. I just received the PL51 and what a difference. I can use the phone normally if I want to, although it is a bit muffled (that's due to my hearing not the device) or I can connect the Music Link to the device and use that on both ears and WOW what a difference. It's worth trying your hearing aid on 'T' and just the phone handset against the hearing aid. You will notice a significant improvement to the pickup range - its a real bonus. You need to be a bit careful to start with the volume low first then build it up until its comfortable for you or it could practically blow you away where it's so loud. Great investment for all with hearing problems - it really helps

I have tonal difficulty and was finding using the telephone at work difficult. Now as I answer (I also use headphones with it so I can listen with both ears) I can easily adjust volume and tone and HEAR! :-)

This amplifier has made a huge difference to my working life! I struggled to hear callers on our Mitel 5320 phone, but after plugging the PL51 in, I could hear everything clearly, even with poor quality mobile calls. I really like the fact that it has a volume and tone slider control, plus the button at the top top double the volume on a temporary basis (though I haven't had to use it yet). A great produce which does exactly what it says on the tin. Love it!

I love this. The sound quality is very clear and I can adjust the volume which is brilliant. I use it with headphones and its great having something that goes directly into my hearing aids rather than the loop system which i don't like and not used to. Thank you Connevans
